Well worth the wait

Hi not got any scrapping projects to show as have not really done anything since the cybercrop on uks apart from a couple of cj entrys on the other hand i did go see new moon at the cinema on friday 20th the cinema was packed out am so glad we prebooked our tickets we queued for quite a while and then when we got in the cinema we got seperated as there wasnt enough seats together but WOW i just loved the film it was absolutely fantastic altho jacob has a nice body its still EDWARD for me i cringed when he was getting beat up by the volturi when we came out we wanted to go back in to see it again lol altho i have seen it a second time on tuesday with my other sister and loved every minute again cinema wasnt so packed this time but there was a draft coming from somewhere and was pretty cold but it took my mind off that watching the film lol and i am off to go see it again next tuesday with my cousin so am looking forward to seeing it again and cant wait for the dvd to come out in march next year and even still cant wait for eclipse to come out now in june next year shall be def wishing the time away lol

Busy weekend

It was cybercrop time over on ukscrappers and i had such a fun weekend scrapping away and was pleased i got nearly all of it done only 2 classes and 1 challenge i didnt complete but can always do them in my own time
First here is a lo i did for the pre crop challenge before it all kicked off i used my little shoebox and sassafrass lass papers a lot of cutting out but am so pleased with how it looks

Next is 2 los i did with the mystery kit i always try to get the mystery kit as i love the fun of it and you dont know what you get til it arrives then its a secret til the gallery goes live i really struggled with the kit this time tho it had lots of yellow and i dont do yellow that well i think i was limited too not bein able to print stuff out as i think had i had a printer i could have done a lot more but not to worry i like the los i did

This one just needs a title adding to it which i will do when i can think of what i want to put on it

This next lo is quite simple i wanted it to have a fresh look and i acheived that this was for a challenge to use metal and hearts i have used a metal heart as the flower centre and a metal ribbin slider
I loved this class by MJM (michelle) i just love her work she is amazing had fun ripping tearing inking with this and the sassafrass bungle jungle papers were perfect for what i wanted to do with this

Next is a mini book by annette (voodoo vixen) she makes some fab mini books and i had fun with this altho it was rushed to get uploaded on time i think i will make another one of these tho as it has a stand at the back and would make a great gift
This lo was for the final challenge where you used the title border and journalling spot from previous challenges to combine them all on to this lo i just love this photo of nathan he is about 6 year old in this photo (he is now 14) he has such a cool expression

Next is a class lo it does have roses as the flowers but after several attempts at trying to do the roses i gave up as i just couldnt do them so i scrunched circles of paper and added buttons as centres and used these instead of the roses which it looks ok
This is one of my fave los of the weekend the challenge was to do a lo about what is popular with you right now and theres is nothing that is more popular in my life right now than twilight saga i am totally obsessed and only 2 days til new moon cant wait so looking forward to it
This next lo was for the challenge of something your proud of and to use stitching i stitched the heart in the bottom corner and drew stitches around the pp i am so proud of my dad he is the best dad in the world and i miss him so much i still cant beleive he isnt here the angels took him away on 25th july 09 and thats when our worlds collapsed but to have all the memories is a blessing and to have him as my dad i couldnt have asked for a better dad in the world LOVE YOU x x x

This next lo was for the challenge of courage and to use felt fabric on the lo photo of dd on the big wheel she def has a lot of courage going on that at 10 yrs old cos me at 34 am scared to death by it and will not go on it lol have used felt flower and leaves in the corner
This was for shimelles class i bought a kit for this one and was happy with the contents i loved this class the main piece opens out to reveal more photos and i thought the colours were perfect for photos we had a night out in fancy dress

This lo was for a challenge using a sketch and a journey theme so i used a photo from my sisters 21st when i had my first ride in a limo

This next lo was a class by taniwha it was theraputic rolling the paper for down the side of the photo and i handsticthed on the ribbon too
This lo was using the challenge of friends and gingham ribbon its an 8x8 to go in my friends scrapbook that i have the brown/mint combo was perfect of this photo of me and my friend donna

The twist was alpha cant miss my alpha used quite large letters to spell out my godaughters name painted chipboard flower border in yellow and added brads in the centres have used sarahs cards june kit pebbles lille bell pp

Survivor

Done this lo for this weeks Twistedsketch#20 twist was black/grey/white so decided to scrap using those colours

I have also combined several scrap like you mean it challenges as i am playing catch up with those so have incorporated
wk 15 - Living on the edge (distress edges have inked and torn the pp)
wk 21 - song title (used destinys child survivor)
wk 23 - self portrait ( yes that is me lol )
wk29 - scrap with 3 ( have used 3 flowers and 3 brads)
wk37 - scrap with metal ( used sqaure frame and brads)
wk39 - Own handwriting ( have used handwriting on scalloped journal circle)
wk 43 - Scrap with flowers ( used 3 flowers and cut a tree out of the pp)
Journalling says "I know after recent events i will be a stronger person and believe in myself no matter what life throws ate me.
Afetr losing my dad 3 months ago i am beginning to realise that i can be strong and be who i want to be and live life to the full as you never know what is around the corner.

Girls lo

This is a lo done using Twistedsketch#18 the twist was to use ribbon have used black and white ribbon under the photo used sarahs card may kit which is jillibean soup pp lo of me my sister and friends on my sisters birthday night out have used title girls just wanna have fun journalled around two sides of the pp and drew stitches around the edge

Productive

I did quite well yesterday gettin 5 los done in total was well pleased with that here are the other 2 i did first one is using sarahs cards april kit MME penny lane collection i loved the owl tree and didnt know what to do with it til now i cut several 6x4 photos down to make several smaller ones to focus on what was in the pictures

This second lo is using BG archiac pp we had a trip to the zoo and they have all these plastic dinosaurs and this one is ready to eat the kids lol

Gonna have a browse through my photos and see what else i can scrap altho i do have quite a few bits to catch up on so may do those first

Lollipop

After that advert for dell laptops bein on the tv i have that lollipop song stuck in my head lol so remembered i had a photo of my daughter with an ice lolly and would do a lo using it have combined feb/march kits from sarahs cards to do this lo and use Twistedsketch#17 as my inspiration and i think it worked quite well the twist was to use bling which i have used in the butterfly and gem flowers

Here are 2 los done from twisted skecthes have enjoyed working with the sketches its bringing me my mojo back a bit so thats good
This first lo is done using sarahs cards july kit which is october afternoon cherry hill love these papers they are cute but versatile its a rare moment to get a photo of my 2 together and actually smiling so a moment to treasure lol the twist to this sketch was to use any type of flower so i used a crochet flower

This next lo is of my son who did do karate for a few months but then decided it wasnt for him i managed to get a photo of him one day before he headed off to training class and even tho he doesnt do it no more he is still my very own karate kid twist to this sketch was to use ribbon but i didnt use any so have just done the sketch have used MME 29th street market playful paper which i got in my birthday swap package which i took part in on uks in feb this year and had a fab partner jo

I havnt done any scrapping since about june before my world fell apart so with a new desk and a good sort out its about time i found myself again and started gettin back in to it i find it may help me along the line to take my mind off things but to remember the good things about my life and the people in it

Here are 2 los i have done today the first is the weekly challenge over on uks which i am quite pleased with the second is pl154 sketch altho my idea didnt work too well and its kinda of a shambles oh well will come back to it another day to see what more i can do with it

New desk

After a tough couple of months i am hoping to start get back in to scrapping as not done any in a long time and it may stop me dwelling on things too much as i get upset everytime i think about my dad i am really starting to miss him now
Anyway i have a new pc desk to craft on i bought it off ebay and it looks tons better than before altho the before pic below shows my previous kitchen worktop desk it wasnt that tidy as that pic was taken just after i put the worktop up and looked worse than that lol i craft in my bedroom havin moved from the kitchen when my stash overflowed and grew lol

These are the after pics with my new corner pc desk it still needs a bit of sorting i need to work my way through the pizza boxes on the floor lol i want to get an expedit unit from ikea when i can afford to to go alongside the desk as it will look better and tidier and oh yeah my new twilight pic is on the wall just in view lol

25th july our world fell apart around us DAD died at home in the early hours and we were all so shocked and devastated its still quite hard to believe he has gone we now have a date for the funeral which will be taking place on 5th august at 2pm thats gonna be as bad as the day he passed and we are all dreading it trying to take each day at a step at a time but its just sooooo hard miss him loads and just wish he was still with us
1951-2009 Dad you will always be in our hearts and soul and we wish you didnt have to leave us so soon 58 years is no age at all and we all expected you to be with us a while yet love you lots and lots x x x x forever in our hearts

Where does the time go

Not been up to nothing new recently since my last post just been doing cjs i am taking part in cant beleive its the school summer holidays already the next 7 weeks are gonna be hectic its only been a few days and i have had enough LOL hopefully i may get some crafting time fit in along the way maybe a few days out for some more photo opertunities will get my mojo flowing again who knows

12 los in one day

Not blogged for ages been a bad blogger i made an album for my friends bday which is today and had only done a few los so yesterday i did 12 los in one day and another one today am all crafted out now lol here are the los i did
Used an old sarahs cards kit for this lo american crafts pp i think these photos are a bit blurry but had to be scrapped

This is just a simple lo not too happy with it but its ok i guess used a mix of pp

Used may sarahs cards kit for this i think have so many i have lost track which is which lol you bet i'm cute seemed appropiate for this photo used a bird stamp and sentiment too

Just a simple lo cut circles to represent bubbles emma calls the bath splish splash hence the title used daily grind pp by fancy pants

Some old pp i have had for a while colours seem to match emmas dress

Used scenic route pp another sarahs cards kit i outlined the letters in gold pen and a mix of blooms

Using febuary sarahs cards kit pink paislee sweetcakes pp i stuck some beads on to the cupcake to have a sprinkles effect

American crafts again divalicious seemed like a good title to use after seeing it on the web a while back
Cant remember what pp this is emma's christening day so perfect day seemed like a good title it also says 50% mummy 50%baby = 100% perfect i used a transparancy and outlined it in black to give it a better effect
Had this paper for a while just never got to use it its sandylion i cut the butterfly out and used flowers as a train love the black white red combo
All cousins together i got this pp in a recent scrapbooking kit swap on uks i glittered the star
Well thats what i have done over the past day or 2 and my friend loved it so thats good :-)

Where has the month gone

Wow its been a whole month since i blogged its been a bad month had the kids bikes knicked had my sons bedroom window put through then i was ill and ended up in hospital i have been diagnosed with gallstones and then got admitted to hospital with acute pancreatitus i was in a bad way for the 1st couple days and ended up bein in there a week was glad to get home at the end of this month i have a pre op app and then will need to go back in to have my gallbladder removed so will be glad when it is all over i have tried to take it as easy as poss and slowly getting back in to things today i have managed to do a lo and ready to do another one hopefully my mojo will return

Book

Here is a book i did for my sister to give to my neices nan for mothers day she gave me all the photos and i used some my old stash to make it she has given me some money towards the cost of it i made it over 2 days and it is 8x8 in size i bound it with my bia and attached a tag and ribbon to the wires
