Retreat weekend

This is gonna be a bit of a long post so apologise if i bore you lol
Wow what a fab weekend that was my first ever retreat and i loved it i had such and amazing time with a great bunch of ppl i had such a laugh and was great to see my teamie Penny again along with her friend amanda we all shared a table.
Eileen very kindly gave me a lift there and back and she is a lovely person i really appreciated it and also kept her company on the drive too. After we checked in we went off to find our rooms i got in a lift and ended up gettin lost so had to ask a chambermaid where my room was and she very kindly showed me. When i got to my room i was greeted by penny and she gave me my bday pressie which was in this gorgeous gift bag

Next is the goodie bags we got once we checked in to retreat filled with lots of lovely goodies really wasnt expecting these but wow mini album a mini chipboard album,thickers shapes,chipboard photo corners,ribbon,bg bling it,stamps,butterfly mask thing and foam pads. I now have a lovely new table top tote
Friday nights challenge we were all given a maya road tin and the challenge was to alter so after seeing some paper in the shop with fences and clouds it gave me an idea to do a house so off i toddled to the shop got some brown cs the pp some paint daubers and set to work and this is my altered tin house with a photo of me and my teddy in the window the curtains are also from the pp
Well what a shock i had i WON i have never won anything in my life and with so many beautiful tins done and all those talented ppl i never thought i would win just loved what i had made and enjoyed taking part so i was well chuffed and here is my prize beautiful american crafts papers with a sheet of fabric paper and embellies so a big thank you to the design team who chose my tin to win
next is a little chipboard book i made in the make and take with cal she is such a laugh and a lovely person she def kept us entertained in the class lol
This lo is rachael elliots class she did a brilliant job teaching and i love her work this was one of my faves its not quite finished tho just needs a title putting on
Next is cathy's mini book class its a fab little book but i need to find the right photos to put in to it and finish embellishing it so will do another post with this when its completed
This was jens class a mini book on a lo and the woody pics of my dd go perfect with the colours and a great way of using up the photos it still need finishing and embellishing etc and i lost one of my strings too
This was lous class i did the lo but the photos i took didnt go with the paper so it just needs photos and a title to complete it i loved this scrunching and inking and ribbling lol
The next is liannes class i loved this one too one of my faves along with lous and racheals and you got a fab tree stencil in the kit that i have an idea of for another lo this on is my godaughter i just need to finish the leaves on this one
These next two los are 8.5 x 11 and was sarah palmers class i was chuffed to be among a couple of others to have bday photos lol this lo is of my mum n dad at my sisters 21st last year pulling silly faces i have done these for an album i am doing for my mum these moments will never be again and i am gonna miss that but the memories are still there here i go again blubbering its hard sometimes and scrapping photos is hard too but i know it will get easier to record all the memories i have

Now on to my lovely new goodies i brought home with me the shop was lush and could have spent a whole lot more if i had any more money lol a new ac album was in desperate need as i have a pizza box with about 30 + los in so be good to put some in to my new album
some thickers and tiny alphas with a pic sheet of birds/houses
Yummy pp my little shoe box jenni bowlin cosmo seeing them in irl has given me ideas of what i want to do just need photos
More yummyness paper doll by crate love this and will be good for los of my dd who loves handbags dolls etc stickers chipboard shapes bling and paint daubers
This is a little book i started making out of leftovers from racheals class had a bit of an accident with it but managed to disguise so wont say what it was lol needs finishing
an a4 lo done for dd album using leftovers from jens class
This lo was done using feb kit so glad i managed a bit of scrapping other than the classes my let down was photos i really need to get some but need a new camera as mine is broken

So thats what i got up to over the weekend and i cant wait to go on another one now loved it all thank you to everyone involved in making it such a great couple of days.

Gorgeous layouts - sorry I didn't get a chance to chat to you at all over the weekend, only now found out that you are in the twilight group. Though we did speak briefly when I thought you was Gemma LOL.

well done you Amanda for such a long blog LOL. Well done on your fabby tin well deserved win. Glad you like your B/day ift- I love the bag too thats why I brought it I guess. It was really great sharing a table with you and being your room buddy.

Lovely lo you seem to have really enjoyed yourself. It makes me want to go on one although Warrington is a bit far for me but I will get there one day. Can't wait to see what you make with all your goodies. xx
